Mixed Martial Arts competition was the brain child of Gracie Jiu-jitsu founder Helio Gracie who studied Japanese Ju-Jitsu. So how could there be a difference between MMA and martial arts? I, along with probably three quarters of the MMA world, figured that MMA was Martial Arts “Mixed” with Grappling! Was this not how they marketed it in the beginning? The slow introduction of this “Sport” into the United States had more and more martial artists getting involved to compete and try out their styles against the so called unbeatable Gracie system. You have got to ask yourself, does the use of the name Ju-Jitsu make it a martial art? If you’re fighting and using techniques from Ju-Jitsu, Judo, karate and other arts, then doesn’t it make it a “martial art?” If you’re just using your hands and punching then is this not just called Boxing? What the fuck Rich!? You fucking train in Muy Thai and Brazilian Ju-Jitsu don’t you? So what the fuck do you mean that you’re not a martial artist!? What the hell was that comment about you not being some 40 year old guy in pajamas telling kids what to do? When your ass can’t fight any more, what the fuck do you think you will be doing? Probably running one of the U.F.C. sponsored gyms in your home town, teaching kids and adults how to be MMA fighters. Face it, there’s not much you can accomplish after your ride in this sport is over.

There is no doubt that you are a good fighter. You have held the championship belt and are getting ready to get back in the ring again and possibly regain that title soon. Your fucking “sport” comes from the Martial Arts! If not for the martial arts that you do in it, your ass wouldn’t be where you are right now. So, you were that guy who played guerilla ball on the basket ball court and speared the shit out of people on the football field. That just means you made a good tackle dummy and punching bag. You had to learn the martial skills you have now to make it in this MMA world and beget the absurd money you earn. Amid ancient times these same techniques were used for fights to the death. So don’t be-little those tactics like you were some fucking natural “bad ass” and that this was all you ever needed to survive in the octagon.


F.F.B.

You owe what you enjoy to the martial arts and should recognize that. It is some 40 year old guy out there, with a dojo, full of paying kids, wanting to be the next Rich “Ace” Franklin that you should be thanking. Without that guy you wouldn’t be shit! This SPORT wouldn’t be shit! No one would know what MMA was. Rich, what you don’t seem to get is that guy you insult running that school is probably one of the MMA “faggot fan boys.” The person who tells all those kids to idolize you so they want to be you. These are the kids that will be the next generation of MMA fighters. That is if this “SPORT” doesn’t die out before they grow up and get their chance to be admired by some other 40 year old MMA “faggot fan boy,” who used to be a fighter and now is making a fortune training future “ F.F.B.’s.”
